With honesty, love, and appreciation of the art of music, Jamaica-born Leroy Romans, the Musician/ Producer/Composer/Artist has been around professionally since the early 90s. He has been working as a studio and touring musician, writing, recording & producing songs with top artists and musicians alike from a wide spectrum of popular music. From an early age, Leroy discovered a love for Jazz fusion music with groups such as Weather Report, Brecker Brothers, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Joe Sample, and many more. He took all his influences in music as a professional and molded himself into a master of emotions with music. Absorbing lessons of life, his depth resonates a sea of wisdom bringing him unmeasurable magical qualities in music as a self-taught musician/producer/engineer.

Leroy’s accomplishments stem from his early interest in music as a child that led him to play flute and later keyboards and getting into music production. While attending high school, he landed a scholarship to the “Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts – School of Music” college where he continued his study in theory and classical flute. During that process, he became interested in other genres of music, which fueled his passion for keyboards, later growing into an obsession for performance and producing in different genres.

Today’s projects include producing for Meridian Gates Entertainment in Miami and performing with “American Vinyl Allstar Band” made up of some of America’s world class rock musicians as well as performing with percussionist Bobby Thomas (of “Weather Report”) in their “Alien Brothers” super group. Leroy’s extended history includes being a studio musician, background vocalist, doing tours and productions with a host of internationally acclaimed super stars including: The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Maxi Priest, Bunny Wailer, Shaggy, Roberta Flack, Jazz Pianist Monty Alexander, Rihanna, co-producing the Grammy Nominated Album, “Generation Coming,” with legendary group Third World and more. He also did full album production on “The Cure” album with Smooth Jazz sensation Johnny James, which incorporated a host of jazz greats such as Paul Brown and other celebrity musicians. Romans later co-produced “Out of the Grid” full album with Bobby Thomas Jr. of the legendary Jazz group “Weather Report.” Leroy also produced soundtracks for movies such as “Bahama Hustle” with former group Courage Band. He later produced “Dolphin Hustle,” the theme song for the Miami Dolphins, and co-produced (with producer Tony Kelly) on a soundtrack for the movie “Illegal Tender” by John Singleton. Dedicated to all things music and film, Leroy also scored a movie collage trailer with sound- designing for Polychrome Pictures.
